With over 25 years of experience spanning global firms and public sector organizations, Rena is a seasoned professional who brings deep public sector expertise to organizational transformation projects.
Her career began at KPMG in Singapore and London, where she qualified as a CPA and worked in both audit and consulting. Rena then worked in investment banking with Deutsche Bank and UBS London for several years, where she specialized in transforming manual processes into efficient, scalable system solutions. In 2008, Rena moved to Vancouver and transitioned to the public sector, taking on leadership roles at the City of Burnaby.
This experience in complex public sector organizations, combined with her private sector insights, makes her particularly effective in navigating environments where operational improvements and people dynamics intersect.
As a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Prosci® Change Management practitioner, Rena specializes in process improvement and team development.
Currently pursuing organizational coaching certification at UBC, she combines technical expertise with coaching methodologies to help teams navigate change successfully.
Rena offers both project-based consulting and fractional executive support, providing organizations with flexible access to senior expertise for strategic initiatives and interim leadership needs. This dual capability allows her to support clients through both specific projects and ongoing organizational transformation.
Known for her collaborative approach, Rena works closely with all levels of an organization - from front-line staff to senior leadership - to build consensus and drive sustainable change. Her methodology emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and practical solutions that that drive meaningful change.
